Press Release Summary: 7 Elephants focuses their growth on three brands; NT Power, MD Sound and Konaki.
Press Release Body: Los Angeles CA, February 29, 2008; If you have ever wondered how some of the less common names for businesses are developed you will be interested in learning just how the name 7 Elephants came into being.
First it is important to know that the 7 Elephants principals Ashkan and Sharam Tabibnia descend from a long history of family business enterprises. Their passion for consumer electronics was developed in the normal way; as young men are wont to do they were avid consumers of all of the latest consumer technologies they could read about and purchase.
Growing up with their entrepreneurial uncle it was natural they would engage with him in a business enterprise of their own. As uncles often are, uncle Tabibnia was most proud of all of his nephews and nieces. There were, oddly enough, 7 nieces and nephews in all. As luck would have it uncle Tabibnia had a fondness for the pachyderm family of animals and is a collector of all manner of elephant figures large and small. That fondness lead to the name 7 Elephants. That left the opportunity for all 7 of the nieces and nephews to join the company. As it turned out only Ashkan and Sharam showed genuine interest.
Of course it should be noted that the name limits the business in no way and to no specific category of business. 7 Elephants grew into a business wholesaling all manner
of consumer goods; hats to hand bags to shoes; jackets to tools and watches to car stereo. As indicated earlier Sharam and Ashkan had a keen fondness for the consumer electronics technology side of the business and as they grew, were able to purchase their uncle's portion of the business when he retired. At last Ashkan and Sharam could focus on their passion consumer electronics.
In 2007 7 Elephants experienced 17% growth over a 2006 which rocketed up by 50% over 2005. Not by accident either. 7 Elephants focuses their growth on three brands; NT Power, MD Sound and Konaki. NT Power and MD Sound are the staple high value mobile electronics brands delivered to market through value minded profit oriented retailers. Konaki is a broader consumer electronics brand focusing on high performance mobile electronics, personal multi-media players such MP3 and MP4 players, high quality digital cameras and the very exciting category of video eyewear.
As the specialty retailer experiences ever more sophisticated consumer demand, 7 Elephants' Konaki brand has proven to be quite valuable to a growing set of retailers. The NT Power and MD Sound brands have become the go to brands for an equally significant number of healthy retailers. 7 Elephants has most recently engaged the services of the lovely spokes model Whitney Jene.
